Sorting by Column in Excede Clicking the name of a column (the column heading) once will sort it in ascending order, with the lowest values at the top. You will notice an arrowhead pointing up next to the heading of a column that is being sorted in ascending order. Clicking the column heading again will sort in descending order, with the highest values at the top. Clicking a third time will “un-sort” the column. When there is no column being sorted, the items on the ticket should appear in the order they were added. Note, sorting choices will remain when leaving and returning to the item list. IT will configure all company computers to automatically lock the desktop after 30 min of inactivity. *NOTE: Locking the computer does not stop programs from working in the background. This change will take effect Friday March 22. Background: The security of the data we have access to is of the utmost importance. We are stewards of sensitive data for our customers and also our partner OEMs, other vendors etc. Even if it is just to get a cup of coffee or use the restroom, any amount of time spent away from the computer is an opportunity for our security to be compromised or for sensitive info to be seen by an unauthorized party. It is recommended that you lock your screen manually any time you are going to step away from the computer. Instructions on how to easily lock your computer before walking away from it are below. Please make a conscious effort to adopt this practice across all departments and on every computer. Locking the Screen Press the Windows key (between the left Ctrl and Alt keys) and combine it with the “L” key on the keyboard, letting go of both together. Unlocking the Screen Interacting with the computer (wiggling the mouse, pressing a key) should return you to the lock screen. Entering your password will return you to the desktop and whatever applications you had open.
